Activity using flash cards
For the furniture restoration class, the teacher will print flash cards with different pieces of furniture from different epoques and styles, such as: colonial, Chippendale, Baroque, Art Deco, rustic, contemporary, Biedermeier, Louis Philippe, Rococo, minimalist, etc. Depending on the number of flash cards, the class will be divided into groups. After making the collage, the students of each group will talk about the time period and the style of furniture assigned to them.
For the arts class, the teacher must bring flash cards with paintings belonging to different schools of painting, such as: Renaissance, symbolism, impressionism, cubism, surrealism, Dadaism, pointillism, pop art, graffiti, etc. After making the collage, the students of each group will talk about their assigned artistic style.
